One Year Stats

Sadie had her 1 year check up this morning. She is growing well and looks healthy according to the doctor which is always nice to hear. She weighed in at 23 lbs. 15 oz. (90th percentile) and was 32 in. long (above 95th percentile). For those of you who are curious, Lily was the exact same height but weighed 2 lbs less.......she didn't have those adorable chunky thighs. Sadie thought the doctor visit was great until the nurse put her on the table to give her the shots. She gave me a worried look just before the nurse gave her the first shot. She needed 4 shots today and she also had to have her toe pricked to check her iron levels. She was a little low at her 9 month check up but she was normal today so hopefully no more toe pricks. Sadie does not enjoy shots and today she was inconsolable. She screamed, literally, and then when I finally calmed her down she saw the nurse again and that just set her off. She ended up crying all the way home and finally calmed down enough to have a bottle (she was too upset to eat real food). Thankfully the Tylenol must have started working because she stopped crying and was able to eat a little lunch before her nap. I am just glad it is over and she is doing well.
